Students at Bluebonnet participated the Hour of Code during the week of December 5th through the 11th. They had different choices of learning games that involved writing “code” for a character. For example, they could program or code a character to move forward, turn right, or repeat a series of steps. The learning games vary by grade so that every grade can participate. Our Pre-Kinder students were able to play with Bee-Bots while reviewing their numbers, colors, and shapes. Fifth graders were able to write code for a program called Bitsbox. Students are also encouraged to visit the Hour of Code website throughout the school year to continue practicing their computational thinking skills.
